EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES LIABILITY AND WORKERS COMPENSATION

Employers are looking for appropriate insurance coverage’s to limit the potential liability from employment litigation. However most companies do not realize their exposure and it is up to their insurance agents to explain the exposure. This course will provide agents with a clear outline of the employment exposures especially ones that originate from workers’ compensation claims.

We will review the interaction between ADA, FMLA and Workers’ Compensation to highlight the exposure created both from an employment standpoint and from a legal standpoint. We will show insurance agents the interaction between employment litigation and workers’ compensation, we will evaluate the exposure created in both arenas.

Participants will learn to implement Best Practice Guidelines for every insured, immediately, and definitely before the insurance carrier denies coverage.  

We want agents to understand the exposure and risk created by not informing their customers of policy coverage’s and exclusions. Disputes are created when agents fail to provide insured’s with clear coverage alternatives or options. If the insured declines a recommended coverage, even after you point out the inherent risk to their business or property – having appropriate documentation will be necessary to defend any claims made for errors or omissions.

All participants will walk away from this training session with and increased awareness of the exposure created by employment litigation and how vulnerable  their E&O coverage can be if they do not understand and explain EPLI coverage options to their clients.
